Behind the pencil
My name is Haider Din, a Maryland-based artist. I began my drawing and illustrating journey by imitating and trying to recreate anime and nicktoons characters from my favorite shows. My biggest influences, at the time, were Dragon Ball Z, Yugioh, X-men and SpongeBob. Later on, I was introduced to the world of graphic novels, which opened the door to a brand-new world of fantasy and artwork. I was completely blown away by the characters and stories told in DC, Marvel and Image Comics.
I transitioned from traditional drawing to digital art and have developed the collection of work you see today! My main focus is portraits, but I also enjoy creating fan art. Over the years, I have greatly enjoyed teaching myself unique techniques and translating my skills with new media. There has been a hell of a learning curve but still a lot of fun exploring this new world of digital illustration. Each and every illustration you see I drew by hand using procreate.
